Shuìyuán Theatre Introduction
The Shuyuan Theater is located on the tenth floor of the Shuyuan Building (Shuyuan Market) and was originally the grand auditorium of the Taipei Military Service Bureau. The Taipei City Government renovated this auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats as part of the Gongguan Waterfront Integration Project. It has been in operation since the end of November 2011 and is managed by the Culture Bureau of Taipei City Government. The theater accepts applications from performing groups for scheduling performances. Additionally, the Shuyuan Theater continues to sponsor performances, supporting performing teams in carrying out long-term performance programs, with the aim of nurturing talent in the artistic and cultural industry, constructing a favorable environment for the arts, and strengthening the capacity of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
