Shuiyuan Theatre Introduction
Shuiyuan Theater is located on the tenth floor of Shuiyuan Building (Shuiyuan Market), which was originally the auditorium of the Taipei City Armed Forces Command. Through the implementation of the Gongguan Waterfront Integration Project, the Taipei City Government renovated the auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats, which opened at the end of November 2011. It is operated and managed by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government and accepts applications for performance schedules from performing groups. In addition, Shuiyuan Theater continues to play a role in sponsoring venues to support performing teams in conducting long-term performance projects, hoping to cultivate talent in the cultural and creative industry, establish a favorable cultural environment, and strengthen the energy of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
