Shuiyuan Theater Introduction
Shuiyuan Theater is located on the tenth floor of Shuiyuan Building (Shuiyuan Market) and was originally the auditorium of the Taipei City Military Service Office. The Taipei City Government, through the implementation of the Gongguan Waterfront Integration Project, renovated the auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats. It has been in operation since the end of November 2011 and is managed by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government. The venue accepts applications from performance groups to schedule and conduct performances. Additionally, Shuiyuan Theater continues to play a supportive role by sponsoring performance teams to carry out long-term performance programs, with the hope of nurturing talent for the cultural and creative industries, constructing a favorable arts environment, and enhancing the energy of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
