Shuiyuan Theatre Introduction
The Shuiyuan Theater is located on the 10th floor of the Shuiyuan Building (Shuiyuan Market). It was originally the auditorium of the Taipei City Military Service Office. The Taipei City Government, through the Guting Riverside Integration Project, renovated the auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats, which was opened for use at the end of November 2011. It is managed and operated by the Taipei City Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau, accepting applications from performance groups for scheduling exhibitions. Additionally, the Shuiyuan Theater continues to play a role in venue sponsorship, supporting performance groups in carrying out long-term program performance plans, with the aim of cultivating talent for the arts and cultural industry, constructing a favorable cultural environment, and enhancing the capacity of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
