Water Source Theater Introduction
The Shuiyuan Theatre is located on the 10th floor of the Shuiyuan Building (Shuiyuan Market) and was originally the auditorium of the Taipei City Military Service Bureau. Through the promotion of the Gongguan Waterfront Integration Project, the Taipei City Government renovated the auditorium into a professional performance venue with 500 seats, which opened at the end of November 2011. It is managed and operated by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government, which accepts application schedules from performance groups to hold performances. In addition, the Shuiyuan Theatre continues to play a role in venue sponsorship, supporting performance groups in conducting long-term performance programs, with the aim of cultivating talent for the arts industry, constructing a favorable environment for arts and culture, and enhancing the energy of Taiwan's performing arts industry.
