Lung-Shui-Su Measuring Station Introduction
The Flow Measurement Chamber is a square brick and reinforced concrete building used for measuring the water discharge from the small Guanyin Mountain reservoir. The original construction date and design are unknown due to lost documents; however, property registration records indicate that the building was completed in March 1913 (the 2nd year of the Republic). It was decommissioned after the Gongguan Water Purification Plant was completed in 1977 (the 66th year of the Republic). The building was excavated downward to meet functional needs, with surface grooves and decorative lines, and exposed red brick at the wall corners. The windows and window frames of the Flow Measurement Chamber are semi-circular at the top and square at the bottom. This structure is estimated to have been added after the completion of the Taipei Waterway's main project, but it is still evident that it is part of an overall planned design with related facilities.
