Water Measuring Station Introduction
The Flow Measurement Room is a square building made of brick and reinforced concrete, used for measuring the outflow of the Xiaoguanyinshan Reservoir. The original construction date and design are unknown due to lost records; however, property registration records indicate that the building was completed in March 1913 (the 2nd year of the Republic of China) and was retired after the completion of the Gongguan Water Purification Plant in the 66th year of the Republic of China. The building was excavated downward to meet functional requirements, featuring decorative grooves on its surface, with exposed red brick at the corners. The windows and window frames of the Flow Measurement Room are semi-circular arches at the top and square shapes at the bottom. This building is estimated to have been constructed after the main project of the Taipei Waterway was completed, but it still shows a cohesive planning and design connection with related structures.
