Underground Water Palace - Guanyin Mountain Reservoir Introduction
Guanyin Mountain Reservoir is one of the designated historical sites in Taipei Waterway Water Source Area. It is a reservoir with over a hundred years of history, designed to store purified drinking water. After its completion in the 66th year of the Republic of China, the facility was retired alongside the new water purification plant. It reopened in 2019 to promote domestic tourism during the pandemic and has become a new hidden gem in Taipei.
