Underground Water Palace - Guanyin Mountain Reservoir Introduction
Guanyin Mountain Reservoir is one of the designated historical sites of the "Taipei Waterway Water Source," a century-old reservoir designed to store purified drinking water. This facility ceased operations after the completion of a modern water purification plant in 1977. However, it was reopened in 2019 during the pandemic to stimulate domestic tourism, becoming a new hidden gem in Taipei. Due to its unique architectural features, the reservoir is also known as the "Underground Water Palace." We invite you to explore this century-old historical site and uncover its secrets.
