Underground Water Palace - Guanyin Mountain Reservoir Introduction
The Guanyin Mountain Reservoir is one of the designated historical sites of the "Taipei Waterway Water Source Area." It is a reservoir with over a hundred years of history, designed to store purified drinking water. This facility ceased operations after the completion of a modern water treatment plant in 1977. However, it was reopened in 2019 during the pandemic period to stimulate domestic tourism and has since become a new hidden gem in Taipei.
