One Line Sky Introduction
The Narrow Sky, Steep Cliffs and Waves Sound - The Narrow Sky is located at the left cape of Tianwang Bay on the eastern side of Dongyin Island. It is a steep coastal erosion ravine where two rock walls stand vertically adjacent to each other, narrowing at the top and widening at the bottom, linking the sky above and the sea below. Whenever the tide rises, waves crash against the rocks at the bottom, creating a sound reminiscent of thousands of galloping horses, echoing magnificently between the cliffs. A trench has been built between the two cliffs, connected by a cement bridge that stands only a few dozen meters above sea level yet boasts an impressive height of over a hundred meters. The rock wall features the inscription "Tianfeng Lingtao" in large characters, eloquently expressing the charm of this spot. This was inscribed by General Lai Ming-tang, who served as the Chief of General Staff, during his visit to Dongyin in 1972, giving it a sense of isolation reminiscent of being stationed at the front lines. In the past, the Narrow Sky was a military restricted area, but it is now completely open to the public without the need for registration. Visitors can freely enter and explore; by walking down the steps to reach the end of the combat trenches, they can witness the breathtaking scenery of the Narrow Sky, and if they wish to listen to the sound of the waves, they can go at any time. Note: Visitors are reminded to be cautious on the stairs, watch for slippery conditions and falling rocks, and power will be turned off after opening hours, so cooperation and attention to safety are encouraged.
