One Line Sky Introduction
The Narrow Sky is located at the left cape of Tianwang Harbor on the eastern side of Dongyin Island. It features a steep sea erosion trench landscape where two vertical rock walls stand adjacent to each other, narrowing at the top and widening at the bottom, connecting the sky above and the sea below. Whenever the tide comes in, the waves crash against the rocks at the bottom, producing a sound reminiscent of galloping horses, echoing magnificently between the rock walls. A tunnel is built between the two cliffs, connected by a cement bridge. The bridge is only a few dozen meters above sea level, yet it has an imposing height of over a hundred meters. The rock wall is inscribed with the words "Tianfeng Lingtao" (天縫聆濤), beautifully capturing the charm of this spot. This inscription was made by General Lai Ming-tang, who was the Chief of the General Staff in 1972 when he visited Dongyin for inspection, and it is prominently displayed on the towering rock face, evoking a sense of isolation reminiscent of being stationed at the front lines. In the past, the Narrow Sky was a military restricted area, but it is now fully open to the public without reservation required for visitation. Visitors can walk down the steps to reach the end of the combat trench, where the "Narrow Sky" scenery unfolds before them, and they can listen to the sound of the waves anytime. Note: Visitors are reminded to be cautious on the stairs, watch for slippery surfaces and falling rocks, and that the power will be turned off as soon as the opening hours finish. Please cooperate and pay attention to travel safety.
