Taibai Mountain Introduction
Nestled amid the veiled mountains and seas, on the way to Dongyong Lighthouse, the Taibai Archway with its red background and white characters stands by the roadside, providing a spectacular viewpoint perched on magnificent boulders. Standing on the viewing platform, one can gaze out to the rocky coastline and steep landscapes, with the vast ocean stretching into the distance, creating an impressive vista. During the fog season from late spring to early summer, the rain and mist create a surreal atmosphere, with veiled fog obscuring the rocks, and the sound of wind and waves crashing against the rocky shore intertwining, giving rise to an ethereal realm, which is how it got its name. From here, visitors can overlook the jagged hills of Dongyin Island and enjoy the breathtaking cliffs and skies, making it a mesmerizing sight that invites lingering exploration. If travelers visit Dongyin during this season (approximately March to May), it's a must to come and experience it personally! The abandoned giant drum – Leigushi Along the trail to Dongyong Lighthouse, there is another small spot – Leigushi, a massive granite rock protruding from the mountain wall that resembles a large round drum. It seems that striking it would produce a deep resonant sound, and it is also a unique geological feature of the area.
