Taibai Mountain Sound Introduction
Situated amidst the ethereal mountains and seas, on the way to Dongyong Lighthouse, the Taibai Pavilion with its red background and white characters stands beside the road, serving as a viewing platform perched on a towering boulder with an excellent vantage point. Standing on the observation deck, one can gaze far and wide; the shimmering coastal rocks and steep landscapes create a majestic scene that stretches into the horizon. During the fog season in the transition from spring to summer, the rain and mist intertwine, obscuring the stones, with the sounds of the wind and waves crashing against the rocky shore blending together, creating an illusionary atmosphere, which is how it got its name. Here, one can overlook the layered peaks of half of Dongyin Island and enjoy the breathtaking view of the cliffs and the dangers of the sea and sky, captivating and enchanting to the observer. If visitors come to Dongyin during this season (around March to May), they should take the opportunity to experience it in person! A forgotten giant drum—Leigu Stone Along the trail to Dongyong Lighthouse lies another small spot—Leigu Stone. Leigu Stone is a giant granite boulder that juts out from the mountainside, shaped like a round drum. It seems that striking it would produce a deep, resonant drum sound, and it is also a unique geological feature of the area.
