Taibai Mountain Sound Introduction
Amidst the hazy mountains and seas, on the way to the Dongyong Lighthouse, stands the Taibai Archway with its red background and white characters, right by the roadside. It serves as a viewing platform perched atop magnificent boulders with excellent visibility. Standing on the platform and gazing out, the coastal rocks shimmer, and the landscape is steep and rugged, offering a grand view of the vast ocean in the distance. During the misty season from spring to early summer, the rain and fog create a dreamy atmosphere, obscuring the stones, while the sound of the wind blends with the crashing waves against the coastal rocks, resembling an ethereal realm, which explains its name. From this point, visitors can overlook half of Dongyin Island’s layered hills and enjoy the breathtaking cliffs and the dangers of the sea, making it a captivating experience not to be missed. If tourists visit Dongyin during this season (around March to May), they should come and experience it for themselves! Another notable spot along the trail to the Dongyong Lighthouse is the Leigushi Rock. This granite boulder protrudes from the mountainside and resembles a large round drum. It seems that striking it would produce a deep drum sound, making it a unique geological feature of the area.
