Taibai Tiansheng Introduction
Nestled amidst the elusive mountains and seas, on the way to Dongyong Lighthouse, the Taibai Archway with its red background and white characters stands by the roadside, serving as an observation platform with excellent views atop towering rocks. From this vantage point, one can gaze far and wide, with glistening coastal rocks and steep landscapes, gazing out at the vast ocean which is quite magnificent. During the foggy season between spring and summer, the rain and mist shrouds the stones, intertwining with the sounds of the wind and the waves crashing against the coastal rocks, creating an ethereal atmosphere, hence the name. Here, visitors can overlook the layered mountains of Dongyin Island and appreciate the perilous cliffs and the sea, leaving one awestruck and wanting to linger. If travelers visit Dongyin during this season (around March to May), they should come and experience it for themselves! Another small landmark along the trail to Dongyong Lighthouse is Lei Gu Stone, a massive granite rock protruding from the mountainside that resembles a large round drum. It seems that if struck, it would emit a deep drum sound, representing a unique geological feature of the area.
