Originally used to store log timbers, the pool was utilized during the 1960s and 1970s when the Checheng lumber industry was thriving. A crane was employed to submerge the logs in the pool, extending the lifespan of the wood. As time has passed, the area around the log pool has been planted with maple trees, camphor trees, and Montezuma cypress, surrounded by majestic mountains. The scenery is beautiful, and it's worth taking a moment to stop here and enjoy the view!
