Luzhu Fishing Port Introduction
Luzhugou is a fishing village located in San Guang Li, Beimen District, Tainan City. In the early years, it was named Luzhugou because one had to use a bamboo bridge built on ditches to enter the village due to the numerous channels at the mouth of the Jiangjun River west of Sanliao Bay. Luzhugou Fishing Port, also known as Beimen Fishing Port, is one of the three major fishing ports in Tainan. The fishing port is home to hundreds of motorized rubber rafts, making it the largest rubber raft fishing port in Tainan. These rafts are often used to transport oysters from the oyster farms and are frequently hired by sea fishing enthusiasts to go fishing, enjoying the coastal fishing experience. Adjacent to the oyster farms, visitors can gaze at the neatly arranged oyster racks from the fishing port. The transitions from day to night create spectacular and therapeutic views as the evening glow appears, painting the lake surface in vibrant colors, which attracts many photographers to set up their tripods to capture the scene.
