Mashagou 3D Art Village Introduction
Matsu 3D Painting Village is centered around the Li Sheng Temple, with artworks scattered in various corners, some on main streets and others in alleys, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of "art around the corner and surprises in the alleys," which sets it apart from typical painting villages. Walking into Matsu 3D Painting Village feels like stepping into a fantastical world, where the colorful artistic murals on the walls and floors, filled with childlike fun and local fishing village characteristics, are breathtaking. The strong sense of simplicity and humanity in Matsu adds a touch of magical realism to the atmosphere. One of the most distinctive and awe-inspiring murals, "Sky's the Limit," is located right in front of the Li Sheng Temple, standing an impressive two stories tall. Matsu is the hometown of Eslite Bookstore founder Mr. Wu Ching-Yu, and thus features another mural titled "Reading is Beneficial," depicting stacked books forming a book wall, with a brush pen bridging the essence of Eslite culture. The playful artistic style showcases the unique charm of the small fishing village in Matsu, with nearby works such as "Meow Meow Loves Eating Mullet," "Hippopotamus Gazing at the Moon," and "Kitten Drying Fish." Whether it’s the giant octopus or mullet roe, these symbolic fishing village products all become the protagonists of the 3D paintings. The artist, Mr. Tseng Jin-Cheng, thoughtfully marks the best photography spots, enabling visiting travelers to easily capture great photos!
