Mashaigou 3D Painting Village Introduction
Matsu 3D Painting Village centers around the Li Sheng Gong Temple, with artworks scattered in various corners, possibly on the main streets or in alleys, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of "art around the corner, surprises in the alley," which differs from typical painting villages. Entering the Matsu 3D Painting Village feels like stepping into a fantastical world, where the playful and locally themed murals on the walls and floors leave one in awe. The simple, rustic lifestyle and the warmth of the community in Matsu add to a magical realism ambiance. Among the most distinctive and stunning murals is "Heavenly Horses Soaring," located right in front of the Li Sheng Gong Temple, towering two stories high and impressively grand. Matsu is the hometown of Mr. Wu Ching-yu, the founder of Eslite Bookstore, and there is another mural titled "Beneficial Reading," depicting stacked books forming a book wall, with a brush as a bridge reflecting the essence of Eslite culture. The playful artwork showcases the unique fishing village charm of Matsu, complemented by other pieces such as "Meow Meow Loves to Eat Mullet," "Hippopotamus Gazing at the Moon," and "Kittens Drying Fish." Whether featuring giant octopuses or mullet roe, these symbolic village products become the stars of the 3D paintings. The artworks were created by the talented teacher, Chen-Jeng Tseng, who thoughtfully marks the best photo spots for visiting travelers to easily capture great photos!
