Mashagou 3D Painting Village Introduction
Matsu 3D Painting Village is centered around Li Sheng Temple, with artworks scattered in various corners, possibly on the main street or in alleys, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of "art around the corner, surprises in the alleys," which is different from typical painting villages. Entering Matsu 3D Painting Village feels like stepping into a fantastical world, where the murals on walls and floors filled with childlike wonder and local fishing village characteristics leave a breathtaking impression. The strong sense of simplicity and warmth of life in Matsu creates a magical realism vibe. Among the most distinctive and breathtaking paintings is "Sky Horse," located right in front of Li Sheng Temple; this mural stands as high as two stories, presenting an impressive sight. Matsu is also the hometown of Mr. Wu Ching-Yo, the founder of Eslite Bookstore, which is why there is another painting called "Reading is Beneficial," featuring stacked books creating a book wall, with a calligraphy brush symbolizing the essence of Eslite culture. The playful painting style showcases the unique fishing village charm of Matsu, with nearby artworks like "Meow Meow Loves to Eat Mullet," "Hippopotamus Gazing at the Moon," and "Kitten Drying Fish." Whether it’s the giant octopus or mullet roe, these symbolically-rich products of the fishing village have all become the stars of the 3D painting. The artworks were created by teacher Zeng Jin-Cheng, who thoughtfully marks the best photo spots, allowing visiting travelers to capture great photos with ease!
