Mashagou 3D Painting Village Introduction
Masha Gou 3D Painting Village is centered around Li Sheng Temple, with artworks scattered in various corners, found both on the main street and in alleyways, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of "art at the corner, surprises in the alleys," setting it apart from typical painting villages. Walking into Masha Gou 3D Painting Village feels like entering a fantastical world, where the wall and ground paintings filled with childlike wonder and local fishing village characteristics are simply breathtaking. The thick sense of simple living and warm humanity in Masha Gou brings an air of magical realism. Among the most distinctive and stunning works is the painting "Sky Horse," located in front of Li Sheng Temple; this artwork is impressively two stories high. Masha Gou is the hometown of Mr. Wu Ching-you, the founder of Eslite Bookstore, which is why there is another mural titled "Reading is Beneficial," depicting a stack of books forming a book wall, with a calligraphy brush representing the essence of Eslite's culture. The childlike style of the paintings showcases the unique fishing village charm of Masha Gou. Surrounding the area are also artworks such as "Meow Meow Loves to Eat Mullet," "Hippopotamus Watching the Moon," and "Kitten Drying Fish." Whether it’s a giant octopus or mullet roe, these symbolic products of the fishing village become the stars of the 3D murals. The artist of these paintings, Mr. Jian Cheng, has also thoughtfully marked the best photo spots, making it easy for visiting travelers to capture great photos!
