Chiang Kung Tourist Fishing Port Introduction
Jianguo Fishing Port is a holiday fish market and fish auction site, and it will also serve as an important port for Taiwan's coastal green highway route in the future. Entering Jianguo Fishing Port allows visitors to enjoy the scenery of fishing boats and fishing villages, learn about various catches, and taste freshly caught seafood of the day. Most fishermen engaged in coastal fishing set out to sea late at night or in the early morning and return by noon or afternoon to sort their catches. Between 1 to 2 PM each day, the auction hall becomes lively as fresh seafood is auctioned off, including fish, shrimp, and scallops, all of which are the freshest and most delicious. Visitors are welcome to stroll through the fish market and indulge in a feast! In recent years, the Tainan City Government has held the Tainan Summer Music Festival - Jianguo Howl at Jianguo Fishing Port during the summer, inviting famous singers to perform, along with exciting firework displays, attracting people from all over Taiwan to experience the vibrant summer atmosphere.
