Jiangjun Fishing Port Introduction
Jiangjun Fishing Port is a weekend fish market and seafood auction market, and it will also serve as an important port for the future offshore green highway route around Taiwan. Entering the Jiangjun Fishing Port area, visitors can admire the scenery of fishing boats and fishing villages, learn about various catches, and enjoy fresh seafood caught that day. Fishermen engaged in nearshore fishing usually head out at midnight or early morning and return to port by noon or afternoon to sort their catches. Every day between 1 and 2 PM, the auction hall becomes bustling as fresh seafood is auctioned off. Whether it’s fish, shrimp, or scallops, everything is fresh and delicious, so feel free to explore the fish market and indulge in a feast! In recent years, the Tainan City Government has held the Tainan Summer Music Festival - Jiangjun Roar at Jiangjun Fishing Port during the summer, inviting famous singers to perform on site, along with spectacular fireworks shows and other performances, attracting people from all over Taiwan to experience the vibrant summer atmosphere.
