Jiangjun Fishing Port Introduction
Jiangjun Fishing Port is a holiday fish market and a seafood auction market, also serving as an important port for the future Taiwan circumferential maritime green highway route. Entering the Jiangjun Fishing Port area allows visitors to enjoy the sights of fishing boats and fishing villages, learn about various catches, and taste fresh seafood caught on the same day. Fishermen engaged in coastal fishing usually go out to sea in the middle of the night or early morning, returning around noon or in the afternoon to sort their catches. The auction market becomes lively between 1 and 2 PM every day, where fresh seafood like fish, shrimp, and scallops are auctioned off, all exceptionally fresh and delicious. Visitors are welcome to stroll through the fish market and indulge in the culinary delights! In recent years during the summer, the Tainan City Government has held the Tainan Summer Music Festival - Jiangjun Roar at Jiangjun Fishing Port, inviting famous singers to perform and featuring exciting fireworks shows, attracting people from all over Taiwan to experience the vibrant summer atmosphere.
