Mashagou Ocean Recreation and Sports Resort Introduction
[Announcement] The Matsu Ocean Leisure Sports Resort is currently closed for maintenance. Matsu, located in the Jiangjun District, was originally a traditional fishing village along the coast. At dusk, one can see the sky filled with sunset hues reflected on the sea, with fishing boats scattered, giving this place the beautiful title of "Green Beach and Sail Shadow," which was one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Tainan in the past. Matsu also boasts fine sandy beaches and clear waters. After planning in the 1980s, it was equipped with many vendors and diverse water activities, attracting large crowds of tourists each summer, marking Matsu's most glorious period. However, the facilities at Matsu gradually fell into disrepair and decline. In 2018, the management office of the Yunlin-Chiayi-Nantou Coastal National Scenic Area revamped the "Matsu Ocean Leisure Sports Resort," which commenced operations in June 2020. The renovated resort added swimming areas, jet ski activities, and other recreational facilities. With rich amenities and unique coastal conditions, Matsu quickly regained its former glory. The meticulously renovated Matsu not only offers a variety of recreational options, but also emphasizes safety in water activities with a well-planned rescue system. Lifeguards within the recreational area regularly monitor safety conditions, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for visitors.
