Sanliaowan Xiubi Oyster Omelette Introduction
Sanliao Bay's "Xiu Bi O-A-Tian" stall is located under the banyan tree in the Donglong Temple courtyard of the Beimen District. The residents of the Sanliao Bay community all know of "Xiu Bi O-A-Tian"; even fishing enthusiasts visiting Luchugou or worshippers from all over Taiwan going to Donglong Temple have tasted its offerings. The phrase "eat well and repay" has propelled "Xiu Bi O-A-Tian" to fame through word of mouth. With the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration actively promoting tourism, Beimen has become a focal point for visitors from all around Taiwan. Tourists flocking to Beimen have significantly increased, and "Xiu Bi O-A-Tian" attracts visitors much like tourist attractions, with tour buses bringing in groups of customers, leaving proprietress Zeng Xiubi wishing she had more hands to serve the crowds. The stall's unique batter is made from 100% soybean flour, without any additives. The filling includes oysters, cabbage, chives, and shredded ginger. Before serving, fresh oysters are shucked and cleaned, and the soybean flour is mixed with water to form a batter. The cabbage, chives, and ginger are minced and mixed with spices. When customers order, a layer of batter is spread on the pan-fried oyster cake, the filling is added, covered with another layer of batter, and then deep-fried until golden brown, emitting a fragrant aroma.
