Hsiang Ho Leisure Fishing Area Introduction
Located in Dongshi Township, Chiayi County, which is primarily focused on aquaculture, Xianghe Leisure Fishery integrates with the surrounding Aogu Wetland ecology. Transforming from traditional fish ponds that cultivate clams into an environmental education site, it features the "Pirate Village" as its thematic attraction. Professional guided tours and fishing experience activities are offered, allowing both adults and children to learn about local natural ecology and industrial culture while having fun. The themed Pirate Village embarks on an interesting water adventure journey, with attractions such as "Pirate Hero Ben Harbor" and "Treasure Hunting in Aogu." Upon entering Xianghe Leisure Fishery, the couplets at the entrance are filled with a strong pirate atmosphere, themed on the 18th-century pirate leader "Cai Qian." Visitors can experience rowing in uniquely designed inflatable rafts and are provided with pirate costumes and role-playing props, making one feel as though they are in the Age of Exploration. Discovering Taiwan's seaweed, visitors can easily experience the ecological industrial culture and cuisine. Within the waters of Xianghe Leisure Fishery, there exists an underwater forest made of "seaweed," which plays an important role in maintaining the food chain cycle in eco-friendly aquaculture ponds while being friendly to the environment. The park not only sells various seaweed-related products but also offers an experience activity called "Seaweed Harvesting," allowing travelers to gain deeper insights into the industry and value of Taiwan's seaweed. Additionally, the fishery has arranged many relaxing and enjoyable activities such as fishing, clam digging, and oyster grilling, where visitors can savor delicious seafood dishes afterward.
