Tainan Golf Club Introduction
Tainan Xinhua Golf Course was planned and developed during the Martial Law period, initiated by former legislator Ms. Liang Hsu-Chun-Ju in 1967. Recognizing that golf would become a more common sport and a means to cultivate noble character, she gathered support from prominent figures in society to co-sign the initiative. With the assistance of General He Ying-Chin and other related individuals, the site for the golf course was planned at the foothills of Hutoupi. The first nine holes were completed in March 1971, and the remaining nine holes were finished in 1978, creating an 18-hole course. In 1998, the back nine were renovated and reopened, sparking a golf craze in southern Taiwan! Tainan Golf Course is one of the oldest courses in southern Taiwan, located just over 10 kilometers from Tainan City, making it very accessible. The lush green fairways combined with picturesque scenery provide a refreshing experience while playing golf.
