Tainan Golf Club Introduction
Tainan Xinhua Golf Course was planned and developed during the Martial Law period, initiated by former legislator Ms. Liang Hsu-Chun in 1967. Recognizing that golf would become an increasingly popular sport that could cultivate noble character, she gathered support from various community leaders who jointly endorsed the project. With the assistance of General He Yingqin and other relevant figures, the golf course site was planned at the foothills of Hutoupi. The first nine holes were completed in March 1971, and the back nine were finished in 1978, creating an 18-hole course. In 1998, the back nine holes were renovated and reopened, sparking a wave of golf enthusiasm in southern Taiwan. Tainan Golf Course is one of the older courses in southern Taiwan, located just over 10 kilometers from Tainan city, making it very accessible. With its lush green fairways and picturesque scenery, playing golf here is a truly refreshing experience.
