Tainan Golf Club Introduction
Tainan Xinhua Golf Course was planned and developed during the martial law period, initiated by former legislator Ms. Liang Hsu-Chun-Ju in 1967. Recognizing that golf would become a popular sport in the future and help cultivate noble character, she garnered support from social elites of the time, who jointly signed as founders. With assistance from General He Ying-Qin and other related individuals, a golf course was planned at the foothills of Hutoupi. The front nine holes were completed in March 1971, and the back nine were finished in 1978, creating an 18-hole course. By 1998, the back nine holes were renovated and reopened, igniting a golf movement in southern Taiwan! Tainan Golf Course is one of the older courses in southern Taiwan, located just over 10 kilometers from Tainan City, making it very accessible. The verdant fairways coupled with picturesque scenery make golfing here a refreshing experience.
