Tainan Golf Club Introduction
Tainan Xinhua Golf Course was planned and developed during the Martial Law period. In 1967, former legislator Ms. Liang Hsu-Chun, anticipating that golf would become a widely popular sport and acknowledging its role in cultivating noble character, initiated the project with the enthusiastic support of prominent figures in the society at that time. With assistance from General He Ying-Qin and others, the site for the golf course was planned at the foothills of Hutoupi. The front nine holes were completed in March 1971, and the back nine holes were finished in 1978, making it an 18-hole course. In 1998, the back nine holes were renovated and reopened, igniting a golf movement in Southern Taiwan! Tainan Golf Course is one of the older courses in Southern Taiwan, located just over 10 kilometers from Tainan City, making it very accessible. The lush green fairways, combined with the picturesque scenery, provide a refreshing experience while playing golf.
