Kengnei Keng Forest Trail Introduction
The trail was originally an ancient path used by local residents to pilgrimage to Shoutian Temple at Songbailing. It has now become a forest trail connecting Shoutian Temple in Ershui Township, Changhua County, with a total length of approximately 1.9 kilometers, including an industrial road. The entire trail consists of steep steps, and along the industrial road, there are benches and pavilions for visitors to enjoy the scenic views of the Kengnei River Valley up close, as well as observe ecological demonstration projects of wild streams. Due to lower human interference, it is easy to observe the flora and fauna, and occasionally, one might spot Formosan macaques. Additionally, a 2-minute walk from the end of the trail leads to Shoutian Temple, where there is a street lined with tea shops. Both ends of the trail, Shoude Temple and Shoutian Temple, provide drinking water and public restrooms, making it very suitable for public leisure and hiking. ▌Trail Length: 0.32 kilometers. ▌Walking Time: 0.2 hours ▌Facilities: Parking lot (motorcycles, small cars), signage, rest areas, ecological demonstration area, benches, viewing platforms, pavilions.
