Pengcun Wetland Introduction
Pengcun Wetland covers an area of approximately 10 hectares and is located at the boundary of Linbian Township and Donggang Township. Originally used as a military camp, the site is adjacent to a nameless drainage ditch on the east side of Datang Village, the Nanpu Pond Branch, and the Haifeng Pond Branch. This wetland primarily collects drainage from the Datang Village community on the east side, the Nanpu Pond Branch, and the Haifeng Pond Branch, utilizing natural purification functions to reduce pollutant levels before discharging into the Dapeng Bay lagoon. The wetland is designed mainly for surface flow, with deep and shallow ponds created to provide diverse habitat spaces. To enhance treatment efficiency, a subsurface flow wetland system is added in the latter part of the wetland sedimentation pond to help remove most pollutants from the water. After entering, the water first undergoes pre-treatment in the sedimentation pond and medium bed before entering a series of surface flow wetlands that lead to the outlet; the initial layout of the site is as shown in the diagram.
