Yingxia Bridge Pavilion Introduction
The Dapeng Bay cycling main route system turns into the left bank wetland park at 2k+500, necessitating the construction of a dedicated bridge for both cyclists and pedestrians to cross the Linbian Drain. Considering the scorching climate of southern Taiwan, a pavilion-style dual-sloped transparent roof and V-shaped wooden louvers were designed for the bridge. This design not only reduces interference with surrounding wildlife but also provides shade and shelter from the rain, making it an ideal bird-watching spot. The pavilion measures 35 meters in length and, due to its long corridor-like shape, is referred to by visitors as the "Bridge Pavilion." The design connects the routes for cyclists and pedestrians and serves as an important hub for eco-tourism in Dapeng Bay. The bridge structure is built with steel and wood, and its design concept is inspired by "The Bridge of Madison County," aiming to create a beautiful encounter between visitors and the ecological environment of Dapeng Bay. From a distance, the pavilion resembles a wooden boat navigating between blue skies and green forests along the water’s edge. Visitors can make a brief stop at the pavilion to enjoy a moment of peace and elegance, allowing sunlight to flow through the pavilion’s canopy while feeling the gentle breeze, experiencing a journey of breathing with nature, pulsating with the earth, and soaring with migratory birds.
