Sunset Bay Introduction
In the early days, the residents around Dapeng Bay primarily engaged in aquaculture, with households’ water pipes sprawling across the ground, creating visual chaos and management challenges. After multiple discussions and planning, the pipelines of aquaculture operators were reorganized and consolidated into a "shared water pool" for joint water usage, which not only resolved issues related to the scenic area and management but also created a recreational and educational space. Along the lagoon, bicycle paths and walking trails were planned, making it one of the best spots to watch the sunset. The area is equipped with complete barrier-free facilities, making it suitable for those with wheelchairs to enjoy the breeze while strolling amidst the beautiful sunset glow. To make the site more in line with the local cultural and tourism characteristics of Dapeng Bay, a naming contest was held in 2014, leading to its renaming as "Sunset Bay."
