Right Bank Wetlands Introduction
The Right Bank Wetland is located at the southern end of Dapeng Bay, on the eastern side of Linbian River, covering an area of approximately 8 hectares. It is planned as an artificial wetland system divided into two areas, designed to treat the wastewater from drainage ditches such as the Datan New Branch, Datan New Heights, and Nanpu Pond Datan New Subline. On sunny days, it functions for water quality purification, while during heavy rain, it serves to intercept and mitigate flooding. It also aims to restore wetland ecology to enhance biodiversity and natural landscapes, thus increasing ecotourism value. This integrated artificial wetland combines water purification, wildlife habitat, landscape, and flood control functions. The wetland is home to bird species such as the Great Egret, Intermediate Egret, Cattle Egret, Golden Plover, and Curlew Sandpiper.
