Bay Wharf Introduction

With a gentle breeze and warm sunshine, arriving at the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area—Binhai Park (Sailing Base), one will discover an array of rare sailboats, canoes, and speedboats. To bring visitors closer to Dapeng Bay, the Dapeng Bay Management Office has utilized the lagoon's conditions to create a 200-meter artificial beach at the sailing base, with fine sand sourced from the bay's mouth. Coupled with Dapeng Bay's unique natural environment, which offers wind without waves, it is favored by local sailing enthusiasts. Every year from April to June, a series of sailing events are held at Dapeng Bay, combining sports and tourism, actively promoting water activities in Taiwan and establishing it as a representative sailing base in the country. Dapeng Bay is the best place to experience sailing, and more and more visitors are coming to enjoy sailing experiences. To escape the intense heat by the sea, a sailing café has also been set up beside the beach, offering coffee, cold drinks, and light meals. Sitting in the café with comfortable air conditioning, enjoying a smoothie is like being in an oasis in the desert. The café features unbeatable floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing beautiful views of the beach and the expansive lagoon, with a distant view of the lush Dawu Mountain. It is a pleasant place to sip coffee and unwind for half a day. The water activities at Dapeng Bay are increasingly diverse. For those interested in learning windsurfing, the sailing base offers instructional services with dedicated coaches and complete equipment. Those who love trying new experiences shouldn’t miss out on activities like windsurfing and canoeing, and they can also board the rare heavy sailboats to fully enjoy the fun of sailing on the sea.
