Shimen Vally Introduction
To reach Haiyin Temple, one must first pass through an arched stone gate, known as Shimen Pass, which is one of the twelve wonders of Taipingshan. Shimen Pass is built with solid and well-crafted granite and features a curved roof with slightly upturned corners at each end, giving it an elegant beauty. The inscription "First of the Seas and Mountains," written by the loyal minister Lu Ruoteng of the Ming Dynasty, is displayed on the horizontal plaque, and it is currently designated as a county-level historical site.
