Yang Hwa Historical Residence Introduction
Yang Huan-nai was a distinguished general during the Qing Dynasty, known for his campaigns against Lin Shuangwen and the eradication of sea bandits. His ancestral home is a traditional Fujian-style building categorized as a three-bay large house, adorned with a left guardian dragon. The entrance hall is decorated with a San Chuan Ridge, and there is a dragon and swallow ridge in the front and rear halls. The detailed decorations are particularly exquisite, with impressive wooden and brick carvings of a coiled dragon on the door lintel. Although the colorful paintings on the beams and pillars have faded, the craftsmanship of the carvings remains robust.
