Jinshui Elementary School Introduction
The Huang family of the Sui Tou settlement places great emphasis on education. As the number of students in the settlement increased, the original family temple, which served as a lecture hall, became insufficient. Therefore, the Huang family proposed the construction of a school, and with the joint funding from the Sui Tou community, Jinshui Elementary School was established in 1932. Jinshui Elementary School was designed in the traditional "回" (Hui) character layout, commonly known as a "fanzi" house, and at the time was the newest and largest Western-style elementary school in all of Kinmen. The school features exquisite facades adorned with symbols of purity, such as angels and eagles in flight. The interior is constructed with red brick columns, symbolizing "focus," with every small detail reflecting the family’s expectations for the students.
