Jinshui Elementary School Introduction
The Huang family in the Shuitou settlement places great importance on education. As the number of students increased, the original temple used as a lecture hall became insufficient. The Huang family proposed the construction of a school, and with joint funding from the Shuitou Township community, Jinshui Elementary School was built in 1932. Jinshui Elementary School mirrors the traditional academy's "回" shaped layout, commonly referred to as Fan-Zi House, and at that time, it was the newest and largest Western-style elementary school in Kinmen. The facade of Jinshui Elementary is beautifully crafted, featuring angels symbolizing purity and eagles soaring high; the interior is built with red brick columns, echoing the meaning of "focus." Every detail reflects the expectations for the students.
