Huang Hui-Huang Western Style Mansion Introduction
The most magnificent mansion built by the Huang family in Shui Tou is the Huang Hui-Huang Mansion, which includes the De Yue Building as part of it. The facade of the mansion features small lions and angel statues, along with other clay sculptures created by craftsmen from Kinmen, including peacocks, curling grass, flowers and birds, elephants, butterflies, and the double dragons grasping the pearl on the main beam. The exterior decorations of the mansion include the inscription "Year 20 of the Republic of China," indicating the year it was built. Additionally, there is a clock at the highest point showing "12:40," which serves to remind future generations that while others take a break for lunch at 12:00, they must wait until 12:40 to rest. This is meant to encourage descendants to work harder and more diligently than others in order to achieve success.
