Wu Wang Zai Ju Introduction

Along Yuzhang Road, near the Haiyin Temple on Mount Taiwu, you can reach the stone inscription "Never Forget the Coast" bestowed by President Chiang Kai-shek. This phrase was used to inspire the military and civilians in war-torn areas, encouraging them to emulate the spirit of Tian Dan from the Warring States period, who overcame numerically superior enemies and worked hard to create opportunities. The cliffside stone carving stands several dozen zhang tall and is one of the most famous landmarks in Kinmen, now a popular spot for tourists to take photos. Although Mount Taiwu has an elevation of only 253 meters, there are several hiking trails of varying difficulty for visitors to choose from. In addition to the relatively flat and easy Yuzhang Road Trail and the Cai Tzuh Ancient Path, the Doumen Ancient Path, which requires rope climbing, is also quite popular, offering stunning views of Kinmen once you reach the summit!
