Wú Wàng Zài Jǔ Introduction
Along Yuzhang Road, near the Haiyin Temple, you can reach the "Never Forget in Ju" stone inscription personally inscribed by President Chiang Kai-shek. This phrase was used to inspire the military and civilians in the war zone, encouraging them to emulate the spirit of Tian Dan from the Warring States period, who overcame great odds. The cliffside stone carving stands several dozen meters high and is one of the most famous landmarks in Kinmen, now a popular spot for tourists to take photos. Although Mount Taiwu is only 253 meters above sea level, it offers various hiking trails of different difficulty levels for visitors to choose from. In addition to the gentle and easy-to-walk Yuzhang Road Trail and the Caicuo Ancient Trail, the challenging Doumen Ancient Trail, which requires climbing with ropes, is also quite popular. Once you reach the summit, you will have a stunning view of the beautiful Kinmen landscape!
