Wu Wang Zai Ju Introduction
Along Yu Zhang Road, at the location of the Near Sea Yin Temple on Mount Taiwu, you can reach the stone inscription "Never Forget the Ones in Ju" personally inscribed by President Chiang Kai-shek. This phrase encourages military personnel and civilians in wartime to emulate the spirit of Tian Dan from the Warring States period, who overcame the odds with a smaller force. The stone carving, standing at dozens of meters high, is one of the most famous landmarks in Kinmen and has now become a popular spot for tourists to take photos. Although Mount Taiwu is only 253 meters above sea level, it offers many hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty for visitors to choose from. In addition to the gentle and easy-to-walk Yu Zhang Road Trail and the Cai Cuo Ancient Trail, the Doumen Ancient Trail, which requires rope climbing, is also quite popular, offering breathtaking views of Kinmen from the summit!
