Victory Gate Introduction
The Victory Gate is a striking white circular arch-shaped structure located at the intersection of Xiaojinmen Lake and Houshan Village. It serves as an important visual landmark for tourists in Lieyu. This memorial gate was originally the site of the "823 Counteroffensive Memorial," which commemorates the valiant defense and courageous fighting of the National Army in 1958 during the Battle of the 823 Artillery, when they faced over 260,000 enemy artillery shells and ultimately achieved a glorious victory.
