Nanshan Tou Four Camp Area Introduction
The Nanshan Head Military Camp, which opened for visits in early 2018, is a coastal military base located at the southernmost tip of Lieyu. The camp features two fortifications, seven underground shooting bunkers, and one command post. The tunnels, reaching three stories deep, are a highlight and have a unique layout and structure that are rare among the many tunnels in Kinmen. The camp has specially designed interactive experiences in various military buildings, allowing visitors to learn about history through games, making education entertaining. Visitors are also attracted by the stunning blue ocean views outside the camp; what used to be a watchful eye against enemy bombings has now become a fantastic viewpoint. Additionally, stepping outside the fortifications allows for close encounters with Kinmen's only basalt terrain, where the varied rock layers meet the rippling sea, adding richness to the memories of Kinmen's waters.
