Nanshan Head Four Camp Area Introduction
The Nanshan Tou Suying Area, opened to visitors in early 2018, is a coastal military outpost located at the southernmost tip of Lieyu. The area features two artillery bunkers, seven underground shooting port fortifications, and one command post. The tunnels, reaching three stories deep, are a highlight not to be missed, with their flow and structure being quite rare among the many tunnels in Kinmen. Interactive experiences have been specially planned within the military buildings, allowing visitors to learn about history through games, making it both educational and entertaining. The stunning blue sea view outside the area also attracts visitors; in the past, there were concerns about enemy bombings or stealth landings, but now the observation windows serve as excellent viewpoints. Visitors can also step outside the fortifications to get up close to Kinmen's only basalt terrain, with its varied rock layers complemented by the ocean's ripples, making Kinmen's sea an enriching part of the travel experience.
