Changhua Foods

Located next to the Lugang Folk Arts Museum, "Hsinchu Jin Shrimp Balls" has a history of eighty years across two generations. The first generation, Fu Jinjiang, moved from Hsinchu to Lugang, set up a stall in the market, and created the Lugang shrimp balls, which he named "Hsinchu Jin." Back then, they were a delicacy suitable for high-end banquets. The second generation, Fu Xiquan, revived the shrimp balls during a period of decline, adhering to traditional methods and using high-quality pure sand shrimp, combined with a unique formula that resulted in a flavorful and aromatic product. This resurgence led to the shrimp balls becoming a top specialty of Lugang. When visiting the Folk Arts Museum, be sure to grab a few bags as souvenirs! Source: Lugang Township Office.
