Little Yellow Mountain Introduction
Xiaohuangshan (Little Yellow Mountain) is located downstream of the Beinan River in the vicinity of Liji Bridge, across the river from the Liji Badlands. Xiaohuangshan is part of the Beinan gravel layer at the end of the Central Mountain Range, belonging to the Eurasian Plate. After being eroded by rain, it presents a landscape of peculiar rock formations, with bare yellow earth and rugged peaks, reminiscent of Huangshan in China. Although it lacks the grandeur of the Chinese Huangshan, it still possesses its own charm, showcasing elegant beauty amidst tranquility. Nearby, there is Xiaohuangshan Park, which features a simple stone path that surrounds the area, allowing visitors to gaze at Xiaohuangshan across the river. Occasionally, dust is stirred up, creating a fleeting sense of desolate beauty, making it one of the unique attractions in the Taitung area with a tropical flair.
