Falasa Workshop Introduction
Creator Ma Qiu belongs to the Jhiben Cardibu tribe in Taitung, and is a member of the Puyuma ethnic group’s "Shisheng" branch. "Varasa" means "stone" in the Puyuma language. Born of stone and ending with stone, rocks have become Ma Qiu's life support, a means of expression found at the age of forty. This long-term pursuit has finally found a harbor at this moment, allowing the heart to rest in this stability, letting creativity begin to run free and dreams start to flourish.
