The creator Ma Qiu belongs to the Zhiben Katibu tribe in Taitung and is from the Puyuma's "Shisheng" branch. Varasa, in the Puyuma language, means "stone." Born from stone and ending in stone, stones are what Ma Qiu found at the age of forty to express and showcase his life’s support.
