The Shanhai Bicycle Path, also known as the Taitung Circular City Bicycle Path, connects three major cycling systems: the old railway, the Forest Park, and the Coastal Highway. The total length of the route is 21 kilometers, completely circling around Taitung City. Along the way, it passes many popular attractions in Taitung City, including the Tiehua Village (which includes the Taitung Wave House and Tiehua Village), Liyushan, Taitung Sugar Factory, Beinan Old Irrigation System Park, Taitung Forest Park, and Taitung Seaside Park. Bicycles are the most suitable mode of transportation to experience the pace of Taitung, riding along the picturesque Shanhai Bicycle Path. The city bus (Puyuma Bus) towards Taitung can be taken and get off at the Transit Station near the Tourism Service Center. The starting point of the bicycle path is located behind the Tourism Service Center. By bus: Currently, the starting point of the Circular Bicycle Path is next to the Tourism Service Center, which serves as the Taitung City Bus Transit Station. You can take the city bus (Puyuma Bus), Dongtaiwan Bus, or Hsingdong Bus and get off at the Transit Station near the Tourism Service Center.
