Ying-Hui Original Art Workshop Introduction
When she was a child at school, she watched the older girls weave, and influenced by them, Ms. Luo Ying-hui developed a great interest in tribal crafts. She secretly vowed to carve out her own path through weaving skills in the future. Frugal, she collected leftover scraps of fabric that her seniors used to practice diligently; after graduating from elementary school, she went to a garment factory to enhance her skills. After 15 years of hard work, she finally founded the Yinghui Original Art Workshop. Not only has she built a solid reputation in her hometown, but she also frequently participates in exhibitions in Taipei. Driven by the ideas of inheritance and sharing, she now leads the women in her community to sew clothing and accessories rich in indigenous style, satisfying the needs of her people while enchanting many urban dwellers who love indigenous style. Under Ms. Luo’s leadership, she infused modern trendy elements into all her works, giving indigenous crafts a new vitality and passing on the most beautiful traditions of her tribe.
