Ying Hui Original Art Studio Introduction
When she was a child in school, Ms. Luo Ying-hui watched the older students weave and developed a great interest in tribal crafts, secretly wishing to carve out a path of her own through weaving. Being thrifty, she picked up leftover fabric scraps used by her seniors and practiced diligently; after graduating from elementary school, she went to work in a garment factory to hone her skills. After 15 years of hard work, she finally established the Ying-hui Original Arts Workshop. In addition to building a good reputation in her hometown, she often participates in exhibitions in Taipei. Motivated by the ideas of inheritance and sharing, she now leads the grandmothers in the tribe to sew clothing and accessories with strong indigenous styles, fulfilling the needs of her people while also captivating many city dwellers who love indigenous style. Through Ms. Luo's leadership, current popular elements are infused into all her works, giving indigenous crafts new vitality and continuing the most beautiful traditions of the tribe.
