Meilun Black Tea Introduction
Hualien "Meilun Red Tea" was established thirty years ago and is located next to the Meilun Market in Hualien. It is one of the long-standing stores that has quietly operated in the area for many years. In its early days, the building also served as a department store, which is why many older Hualien residents refer to it as the "Red Tea Department Store." After being taken over by the second-generation owner, the store not only continued to uphold its good reputation but also renovated into the spacious shop it is today. The greatest feature of Meilun Red Tea is its traditional method: using whole tea leaves to brew Nantou's Yuchih Township black tea. After being prepared with a special recipe by the owner, it has a sweet yet not overly rich or astringent taste with a strong aroma, captivating many customers and leaving them with endless reminiscences! Of course, the store also specializes in traditional breakfast items, such as egg pancakes, peanut soup, and almond tea, all of which are greatly beloved!
