Meilun Black Tea Introduction
Meilun Red Tea, established thirty years ago, is located next to the Meilun Market in Hualien and is one of the long-standing local shops that has quietly operated for many years. In its earlier years, this building also sold general merchandise, making it known as the "Red Tea Department Store" among many older Hualien residents. After being passed down to the second-generation owner, in addition to maintaining its good reputation, it has been renovated into a spacious store. The biggest feature of Meilun Red Tea is its traditional brewing method: using whole tea leaves to extract and brew the red tea from Nantou's Yuchi Township. After applying the owner's unique formula, the tea achieves a sweet, not cloying or astringent, and aromatic flavor that captivates many, leading to endless nostalgia! Of course, the store also features a traditional breakfast series, such as egg pancakes, peanut soup, and almond tea, all of which are quite popular!
