Hualien's "Meilun Red Tea" was established thirty years ago, located next to the Meilun Market in Hualien. It is one of the longstanding local shops that has been quietly operating for many years. In its early days, the building also operated as a department store, which is why many long-time residents of Hualien refer to it as the "Red Tea Department Store." After the second-generation owner took over, they not only continued to uphold the store's good reputation but also renovated it into the spacious storefront it is today. The biggest feature of Meilun Red Tea is its traditional brewing method: using whole tea leaves to extract and brew red tea from Yuchih Township in Nantou. After blending it with the owner's unique recipe, it results in a sweet yet not cloying, non-astringent, and rich flavor that has captivated many customers, leaving them wanting more! Naturally, the store also offers a variety of traditional breakfast items, such as egg pancakes, peanut soup, and almond tea, all of which are quite popular!
