Meilun Black Tea Introduction
Hualien "Meilun Red Tea" was established thirty years ago, located beside the Meilun Market in Hualien. It is one of the longtime local shops that has been quietly running for many years. In the early years, this building also sold various merchandise, which is why many older Hualien residents referred to it as the "Red Tea Department Store." After being taken over by the second generation of owners, it has continued to uphold its good reputation and has been renovated into the spacious shop it is today. The biggest feature of Meilun Red Tea is its traditional brewing method: using whole tea leaves to brew Nantou's Yuchi Township red tea. After the owner’s special recipe, it achieves a taste that is sweet without being cloying, smooth without bitterness, and has a rich aroma, captivating many customers and leaving them with endless aftertastes! Naturally, the shop also focuses on traditional breakfast items, such as egg pancakes, peanut soup, and almond tea, which are all quite popular!
