Meilun Black Tea Introduction
Hualien "Meilun Red Tea" was established thirty years ago, located next to the Meilun market in Hualien, and is one of the long-standing local shops that has been operating quietly for many years. In its early years, this building also sold various department store goods, making it known among many old Hualien residents as the "Red Tea Department Store." Later, the second generation of owners took over, continuing the legacy of its good reputation while renovating it into the spacious shop it is today. The biggest feature of Meilun Red Tea is its traditional method: using whole tea leaves to brew the Nantou fish pond township red tea. After being blended with a special recipe by the shop owner, it results in a sweet yet not cloying, non-astringent, and rich flavor that captivates many and leaves a lasting impression! Additionally, the shop mainly serves traditional breakfast items, such as egg pancakes, peanut soup, and almond tea, which are also very popular among customers!
