Penghu Story Wife Museum Introduction
Penghu Story Wife is a unique shop focused on creative arts, co-founded by the couple Chen Zhenxiu and Liu Weizhi. In 2003, in conjunction with a series of events for the Barrel and Disk Art Festival, including the establishment of an art museum, the Penghu Story Wife Art Museum officially opened at the Fisherman's Wharf, accompanied by the opening events of the art festival. The establishment of this museum connects the various trajectories of the past Barrel and Disk Art Festival to the present, witnessing the artistic vision of Story Wife and Disk Village. In the future, it will serve as a long-term space for exhibitions of creators from Disk Art Village, while also enhancing local culture and connecting with international art groups and various museums in Taiwan. The museum has three floors: the first floor features cultural merchandise and a service desk, while the upper two floors will be planned as exhibition spaces to showcase the results of creators' series of works. The name "Penghu Story Wife" was chosen because the owner felt like a wife who often tells stories to her friends through the long correspondence, and from that day on, she began signing as "Story Wife."
