Penghu Story Wife Art Museum Introduction

Penghu Story Wife is a unique shop focused on creative art pieces, founded by the couple Chen Zhenxiu and Liu Weizhi. In 2003, it was inaugurated alongside a series of events for the Barrel Art Festival, which included the establishment of an art museum. The Penghu Story Wife Art Museum, located at the Fisherman's Wharf, officially opened its doors during the festival, hosting opening activities that coincide with the art event. The establishment of the museum connects the past trajectories of the Barrel Art Festival to the present, witnessing the artistic vision of Story Wife and the Barrel Village. In the future, it will serve as a long-term space for creators' performances in Barrel Art Village and play a crucial role in enhancing local culture while connecting with Taiwan's interaction with international art groups and various art museums. The museum has three floors: the first floor is dedicated to cultural merchandise sales and service areas, while the upper floors will be planned for exhibition spaces, showcasing the works of various creators. The name "Penghu Story Wife" was chosen because the owner felt like a wife who often tells stories to her friends through long correspondence, so from that day on, she began signing her letters as "Story Wife."
