Penghu Story Wife Art Museum Introduction
Penghu Story Wife is a unique store focused on creative arts and crafts, co-founded by the couple Chen Zhenxiu and Liu Weizhi. In 2003, in conjunction with a series of activities for the Drum Festival, including the establishment of an art museum, the Penghu Story Wife Art Museum officially opened at the Fisherman's Wharf, coinciding with the festival's opening event. The establishment of the museum connects the past trajectory of the Drum Festival to the present, witnessing the artistic vision of Story Wife and Drum Village. In the future, it will serve as a long-term space for creators’ performances in Drum Village, while also playing a crucial role in promoting local culture and connecting with international art groups and various art museums in Taiwan. The museum has three floors; the first floor is dedicated to the sale of cultural products and a service counter, while the second floor and above will be planned as exhibition spaces to showcase the results of creators' series works. The name "Penghu Story Wife" was chosen because the owner realized that after a long time of writing letters to friends, she felt like a wife who often tells stories to the other person, so she started signing as "Story Wife" from that day on.
