Xishi Shantou Restaurant Introduction
Located next to the Hsinchu City God Temple, Ximen Market's Shantou Restaurant was established in 1949. In the simple and unpretentious shop, you can often see the second-generation owner busy in the semi-open kitchen and inside the restaurant. The restaurant is currently operated by the four brothers of the second generation, who recently opened branches in Beidalu and Zhubei. The family is dedicated to inheriting their father's delicious recipes, ensuring that the beloved flavors that have been cherished for nearly 70 years continue to be preserved. The beef dishes in the restaurant are a favorite among food enthusiasts, especially the carefully selected fresh chilled beef from the hind leg. The preparation process uses only simple seasonings to maintain the unique beef flavor, and by balancing the meat and tendon in a golden ratio from the hind leg, they create flavorful and chewy beef meatballs. Importantly, no preservatives are added during the production process, allowing everyone to enjoy delicious and安心 (safe) beef meatballs, resulting in an irresistible eating experience.
