Located next to the Cheng Huang Temple in Hsinchu, the Ximen Market Shantou Restaurant was established in 1949. In the humble and simple storefront, you can often see the second-generation owner busy in the semi-open kitchen and dining area. The restaurant is currently run by the four brothers of the second generation, who have recently opened branches in Beida Road and Zhubei. The family is dedicated to passing on their father's delicious flavors, ensuring that the beloved taste that has been around for nearly 70 years continues to endure. The beef dishes in the restaurant are a favorite among food enthusiasts, particularly those made from carefully selected fresh chilled beef from the hind thigh. The preparation process involves only simple seasonings to preserve the unique aroma of the beef, and the golden ratio of meat to tendon from the hind thigh creates beef meatballs that are chewy and delicious. Throughout the production process, no preservatives are added, allowing customers to enjoy the beef meatballs with both safety and flavor, making them irresistible.
