Tsai's Handmade Q Buns (Hong Yang Food Shop) Introduction
The Stone Monkey, surrounded by Taocheng, initially made cute pig-shaped meat buns out of a spontaneous idea when his son was picky, weak, and had a poor appetite. This adorable little pig began to appear on dining tables across Taiwan, becoming a loving snack from mothers to their children. The "Chiayi Le Tao Tao" bun was inspired by Chiayi's old name - Taocheng. The old city gates connected to resemble a peach, which is why the buns are shaped like peaches to symbolize the imagery of Taocheng. Additionally, a carved Stone Monkey, representing Chiayi, is nestled inside the peach, making it very cute and interesting! Recommended gift: Chiayi Le Tao Tao.
