Tsai's Handmade Q Buns (Hongyang Food Shop) Introduction
Surrounded by the Peach City, the stone monkey initially faced challenges as his picky and weak son had a poor appetite. On a whim, he began shaping the meat buns he sold daily into cute little pigs. Thus, these adorable pig-shaped buns began to appear on dining tables across Taiwan, becoming a beloved treat for children from their mothers. The "Chiayi Happy Peach" bun draws inspiration from Chiayi's old name - Peach City, which comes from the way the old city gates connect to form a shape resembling a peach. Therefore, the buns are made in the shape of a peach to symbolize the essence of Peach City, and inside the peach is a carved stone monkey representing Chiayi, making it both cute and interesting!
