Cai Family Handmade Q Buns (Hung Yang Food) Introduction
The stone monkey, initially a reflection of a father's concern for his picky and weak-eating son, whimsically began to shape the meat buns he sold every day into the form of a small pig. This adorable little pig soon found its way to dining tables across Taiwan, becoming a beloved treat given by mothers to their children. The "Chiayi Le Taotao" bun is inspired by Chiayi's old name - Peach City. The old city gates to the east, south, west, and north form the shape of a peach, hence the peach-shaped buns symbolize the essence of Peach City. Inside the peach, there is a carving of a stone monkey, representing Chiayi, making it both cute and interesting! Recommended souvenir: Chiayi Le Taotao.
