The February 28 Incident is one of the most significant events in Taiwan's modern history. The first 228 Memorial Park in the Jiayi Yunlan area, symbolizing the integration of ethnic groups, was finally completed and opened on February 28, 1996, after more than two years of planning and construction, marking the forty-ninth anniversary of the incident that occurred in 1947, which evokes deep gratitude and infinite sorrow.
