The February 28 Incident is one of the most important events in Taiwan's modern history. The first 228 Memorial Park in the Jiayi and Yunlin area, symbolizing ethnic integration, took more than two years of planning and construction. It was finally completed and opened on February 28, 1996, fifty years after the occurrence of the February 28 Incident in 1947, which evokes deep gratitude and infinite sorrow.
