The February 28 Incident is one of the most important events in Taiwan's modern history. The first 228 Memorial Park in the Jiayi and Yunlin area, symbolizing ethnic integration, was completed after more than two years of planning and construction. It finally opened on February 28, 1996, exactly forty-nine years after the February 28 Incident occurred in 1947, evoking deep gratitude and endless sorrow.
