Living Spring Cultural Tea House Introduction
In recent years, the rise of "Cypress Forest Village" in Chiayi City, along with its cypress wood and poetry accompanying tea, has attracted more tourists to experience a slow-paced and leisurely lifestyle in a small city. The Active Spring Cultural Tea House is located at the entrance of Cypress Forest Village, boasting a serene lotus pond view. Established by Professor Fang from the Tea Culture and Business Management program at Tatung University, the Active Spring Cultural Tea House has been in Cypress Forest Village for three years, aiming to provide a space where domestic and international visitors can calm their minds, savor the sweetness of Taiwan's high mountain tea, experience the beauty of Eastern tea, and promote tea culture. From 2014 to 2016, the Active Spring Cultural Tea House hosted many foreign dignitaries, brewing warm cups of tea that convey the centuries-old history of tea, allowing guests to feel the warmth of tea culture. Upon entering the tea house, various exquisite tea utensils and pottery gently and firmly occupy their places, as if they are noble gentlemen untouched by worldly dust. As one's gaze crosses the cypress wood window lattice, the elegant lotus pond scenery crystallizes the restless pace of time, leading guests to inevitably settle by the wooden table by the window, enjoying the moments of high mountain tea and leisurely company. The "Lover's Tea and Delicacies" series offers handmade rose tarts, colorful rainbow pastries, and romantic butterfly pea flower tea. The tea pounding experience, where guests can choose their tea, involves using a wooden stick to pound the tea leaves into fine powder in a ceramic bowl, similar to Hakka Lei Cha. The fragrant tea aroma wafts up, and the pounded tea powder is then added to a brewing pot, completing the homemade cold brew tea, which, paired with the colorful rainbow pastries, creates a delightful chapter for one's afternoon. In an era flooded with cheap and easily accessible hand-shaken tea, many have gradually forgotten the beauty of Taiwanese tea. However, many tea lovers continue to gently yet firmly protect Taiwanese tea culture in their own ways. The Active Spring Cultural Tea House collaborates with Tatung University’s Tea Culture and Business Management program to continue promoting the value of Taiwanese tea. Recommended dishes: Tea pounding experience (choose any tea) and rainbow pastries.
