Spring of Life Cultural Tea House Introduction
In recent years, the rise of "Cypress Forest Village" in Chiayi City, characterized by cypress wood and poetry paired with tea, has attracted more tourists to experience the leisurely pace of life in this small city. The "Huaqing Cultural Tea House," located at the entrance of Cypress Forest Village, boasts a tranquil lotus pond view. Established by Professor Fang from the Department of Tea Culture and Business Management at Tatung University, Huaqing Cultural Tea House has been part of Cypress Forest Village for over three years, aiming to provide a space where domestic and international travelers can take a moment to savor the sweetness of Taiwan's high mountain tea, experience the beauty of Eastern tea, and promote tea culture. Between 2014 and 2016, Huaqing Cultural Tea House has welcomed many foreign dignitaries, serving warm cups of tea that bring the rich history of tea to life, allowing guests to feel the warmth of Huaqing's tea culture. Upon entering the tea house, various exquisite tea utensils and pottery pieces softly yet firmly occupy their positions, as if the interior is a refined gentleman untouched by the dust of the mundane world. As one gazes past the cypress wood window grilles, the elegant lotus pond scenery freezes the anxious pace of time, guiding guests to settle by the wooden tables, enjoying high mountain tea alongside leisurely company. The "Tea Love Aesthetics" series offers handcrafted rose tarts, colorful rainbow pastries, and romantic butterfly pea flower tea. The tea pounding experience in the shop allows patrons to select their desired tea and, using a method similar to Hakka lei tea, crush the tea leaves into a fine powder with a wooden pestle in a ceramic bowl. As the aromatic tea scent wafts up, the powdered tea is added to a brewing vessel, completing a self-made cold brew tea, which is enjoyed alongside rainbow pastries, creating a beautiful chapter for one's afternoon. In an era overflowing with inexpensive and easily accessible bubble tea, many have gradually forgotten the beauty of Taiwanese tea. However, many tea lovers continue to softly yet resolutely protect Taiwanese tea culture in their own ways. Huaqing Cultural Tea House collaborates with the tea culture and business management degree program at Tatung University to further promote the treasures of Taiwanese tea. Recommended dishes: tea pounding experience (choice of tea available), rainbow pastries.
