Roshi Pie Introduction
In November 2016, two girls who studied together in the Fine Arts department returned to Chiayi City from their respective workplaces and started "Riqing Savory Pie" in a small alley in the city. The name "Riqing" comes from the team name chosen by the two mountain climbing enthusiasts, which means to pray that every day spent hiking is a sunny day. With their background in Fine Arts, the two have their unique insistence on the design of the store's decor. Not wanting to be confined to any standard style, they personally painted the walls, arranged a variety of small goods and cute tableware on the shelves, and decorated the store with their cherished miniatures, ensuring that every inconspicuous corner of the shop was infused with their care and creativity. The aesthetic of Riqing Savory Pie cannot be classified or replicated because it stems from the girls' boundless imagination and freedom. Another common trait shared by the two girls is their love for savory pies and scones. After tasting savory pies and scones from both domestic and international locations, they realized that the best flavor comes from the care and purity infused by a mother’s cooking for her family. Thus, they rolled up their sleeves and dove into the world of flour and butter, aiming to provide all their customers with delicious, safe, and healthy food—just like for family. Even though they once considered giving up due to the complexity of making savory pies, the satisfaction seen on customers' faces while enjoying the food, and the relaxed and leisurely atmosphere of the store, aligned with their original intention of allowing people to savor natural and healthy dishes, and truly feel life and the present. In all their future days in Chiayi City, regardless of whether it’s sunny or rainy, they will continue to provide warm and delicious meals.
