Chunqing Special Store "Only sells the pure." Located around the central fountain in Chiayi City, Chunqing Special Store offers fresh egg cakes made from natural ingredients such as fresh eggs, flour, sugar, and pure milk, insisting on not using pre-mixed powder or margarine. The aim is to bring back the simple and sincere spirit of Taiwanese people through this popular snack. Loyal customers range from 1 to 99 years old, and people of all ages love the soft and sweet taste of Chunqing's egg cakes. They remain soft even when cold and are easy to digest. There is a 93-year-old grandfather who often comes to Chunqing in the afternoon to buy egg cakes; he waits 15 to 20 minutes for them to be freshly made and sometimes falls asleep on his motorcycle while waiting. The staff even has to wake him up; it's quite adorable. The Chunqing team considers themselves the ambassadors of Chiayi's food culture and has established the "Chunqing Elder" column to explore local delicacies that blend with Chunqing's egg cakes, such as the over 70-year-old True Flavor Crispy Pork from Chiayi and the famous Wu's Pickles from the East Market. They are also actively involved in social welfare, such as collaborating with the Eden Social Welfare Foundation to launch the "Slow-Flying Angels Cheer Up" egg cakes to raise funds for children undergoing early intervention, showcasing the Taiwanese spirit of "pure love."
