Pure Emotion Specialty Shop "We only sell pure." Located around the Central Fountain in Chiayi City, the "Pure Emotion Specialty Shop" sells freshly made pancakes made from natural ingredients such as fresh eggs, flour, sugar, and pure milk, while insisting on not using pre-mixed flour or margarine. This aims to use the humble pancake as a return to the sincere spirit of Taiwanese people. Loyal customers range from 1 to 99 years old, and everyone loves the soft and sweet texture of the pancakes, which do not harden when cold and are easy to digest. There is a 93-year-old grandfather who frequently comes in the afternoon to buy pancakes, and it takes 15 to 20 minutes for them to be freshly made. Sometimes, he falls asleep on his scooter while waiting, prompting staff to wake him up, which is quite endearing. The Pure Emotion team prides itself on being ambassadors for Chiayi cuisine, establishing a column called "Pure Emotion Neighborhood Chief" to explore local food that blends with their pancakes, such as the 70-year-old traditional shop Zhen Wei Zhen Meat Floss, Wu's pickled vegetables from the East Market, and Master Long’s golden kimchi...etc. They are also actively involved in social welfare, collaborating with the Eden Social Welfare Foundation to launch the "Slow Flying Angels Support" pancakes to raise funds for children undergoing early intervention, showcasing the Taiwanese spirit of "pure emotions spreading love."
