Chiayi Ge Restaurant Introduction
The brothers Wang Jiayi and Wang Shuicheng, who opened the culinary avenues of Shenkeng Old Street, started their journey by running a noodle stall at the temple entrance in their early years. Later, the younger brother Wang Shuicheng's long-established tofu shop at Shenkeng Temple became famous far and wide. Meanwhile, the skilled elder brother Wang Jiayi, with his “Jiayi Pavilion,” also made a name for himself in the old street with his tofu dishes. The unique cooking method of Shenkeng tofu does not remove the soy pulp, resulting in a slightly charred flavor during the simmering process.
