Chiayi Ge Restaurant Introduction
The culinary origins of Shenkeng Old Street can be traced back to the two brothers, Wang Jiayi and Wang Shuicheng. In their early years, they set up a noodle stall at the temple entrance. Later, the younger brother Wang Shuicheng's old store, known for its tofu, became famous far and wide. Meanwhile, the skilled elder brother Wang Jiayi's "Jiayi Pavilion" also made a name for itself in the old street with tofu dishes. The unique cooking method for Shenkeng tofu maintains the integrity of the soybeans, resulting in a slightly charred flavor when simmered at the bottom. Dishes like braised tofu and tofu soup have a special aroma and a soft, smooth texture, making them highly recommended by food connoisseurs.
