Jiufen Old Noodle Shop Introduction
Jiufen Old Noodle Shop has been in operation since 1958 and is currently run by the second generation, Boss Shi, who personally cooks the noodles at the stall. Although Jiufen Old Noodle Shop is not the first noodle shop established in the Jiufen area, it is the first restaurant to offer beef noodles. Since then, beef noodles have remained the shop's signature dish. The earliest customers of Jiufen beef noodles were local residents of Jinguashi and Jiufen, as well as miners. This popularity may be due to the physical demands of mining, leading to a high demand for beef noodles among locals and miners.
