Jiufen Old Noodle Shop Introduction
Jiufen Old Noodle Shop has been in operation since 1958 and is currently run by the second generation, Mr. Shi, who personally cooks the noodles at the stall. Although Jiufen Old Noodle Shop is not the first noodle shop established in the Jiufen area, it is renowned for being the first place to offer beef noodle soup. From the past to the present, beef noodle soup has always been the signature dish of Jiufen Old Noodle Shop. The earliest patrons of Jiufen beef noodle soup were the local residents of Jinguashi and Jiufen, as well as miners, likely because mining requires a significant amount of physical exertion, making this beef noodle soup particularly popular among the locals and miners.
