Jiufen Old Noodle Shop Introduction
Jiufen Old Noodle Shop has been in operation since 1958 and is currently run by the second generation, Boss Shi, who also cooks the noodles himself at the stall. Although Jiufen Old Noodle Shop was not the first noodle shop established in the Jiufen area, it is the first one to offer beef noodles, which have consistently been the signature dish since its inception. The initial customers of Jiufen beef noodles were mainly local residents and miners from Jinguashi and Jiufen. The popularity of the beef noodles among locals and miners can be attributed to the physically demanding nature of mining work.
