Jiufen Zhang's Traditional Fish Ball Introduction
Zhang Ji Traditional Fish Balls, located in Jiufen Old Street, has been in operation for nearly 12 years. The traditional fish balls are the highlight of the shop. These small, chewy fish balls have the texture reminiscent of meatballs, but there’s a lot more to them! The traditional fish balls are made from fish paste and pork, mixed with crispy shallots, carrots, celery, and other ingredients. Many children who aren’t fond of vegetables like carrots still enjoy these traditional fish balls, which are packed with nutrition. Additionally, the Fuzhou style dumplings in the shop are also very popular; when you bite into them, the delicious broth bursts out, enhanced by the addition of crispy shallots, adding a lot of flavor.
