Qinglong Ridge Introduction
Located on the northwest ridge of Datong Mountain, Qingtong Ridge offers beautiful layers of green during the ascent to the summit. Along the way, there is a sculpture of a Qinglong (Azure Dragon) that resembles a dragon lying down, hence the name Qingtong Ridge. The hiking trail to Datong Mountain starts from Daan Road and ends at Qingtong Ridge, with a total length of 2 kilometers. Today, Qingtong Ridge has been developed into a forest park, and it is recommended for hikers to reach the triangulation point to enjoy the beautiful view of the forest area below. If you're looking to see the night view, this is also a great spot. Facilities include areas for picnicking and resting, as well as a Qinglong statue made of stacked stones, which is said to have been built over several years by an elderly gentleman, becoming a symbolic landmark of Qingtong Ridge.
