Qinglong Ridge Introduction
Located on the northwest ridge of Datong Mountain, on the way to the peak, there are layers of verdant hills, where a bold dragon sculpture resembles a sleeping dragon, thus named Qinglong Ridge. The Datong Mountain hiking trail begins at Daan Road and ends at Qinglong Ridge. After passing Datong Mountain at mid-mountain, it connects to the Qinglong Ridge hiking trail, which is 2 kilometers long. Today, Qinglong Ridge has been developed into a forest park. Hikers are encouraged to ascend to the triangulation point, where they can enjoy beautiful views of the forest area below. For those who wish to see the night scenery, this is also a great location. Facilities include picnic and resting areas for mountain enthusiasts, as well as a dragon sculpture made of stacked stones, reportedly built by an elderly gentleman over several years, which has become a symbolic feature of Qinglong Ridge.
