Shih's Lamb Introduction
Shih's Lamb has been operating for over 40 years in the Guiren Public Market and is a well-known snack stall. The variety of lamb dishes offered is simple, yet the meat is tender and the portions generous. The restaurant's signature Dong Quai Lamb Soup features a unique broth, simmered with a special blend of various Chinese herbs, resulting in a sweet, non-greasy, and non-astringent flavor that is widely loved by customers. Other traditional dishes such as lamb noodles, rice vermicelli, and fried rice, cooked with classic ingredients, are also quite popular. In 2008, Shih's Lamb received the Nanying Cuisine Certification and was selected as a Master Stall by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, recognized as the "Light of Famous Stalls." In 2010, it was again awarded a three-star rating as a featured stall in the Happy Market by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, making it the only three-star featured stall in Tainan County, showcasing the strength of this established lamb stall.
