Zhang Baoren, the general manager of Changchun Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant chain, comes from a family of vegetable vendors. He worked part-time while studying at Cheng Kung University Senior Vocational School and washed dishes at a buffet restaurant to help support his family. Having apprenticed at a Sichuan restaurant, Zhang Baoren later turned to vegetarian cuisine due to his reluctance to kill and his grandmother's advice. After completing his military service, he continued to invest in the food industry. His passion for the culinary arts led him to start from washing dishes, earning certifications as a junior and intermediate Chinese cuisine cook. Eventually, he started his own business, becoming well-versed in all restaurant-related processes. His dedication to the business exceeds that of ordinary operators, which has allowed Changchun Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant to establish its unique "Lohas" style among vegetarian dining establishments.
