Changchun Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant Chain's General Manager, Zhang Baoren, comes from a family of vegetable vendors. While studying at National Cheng Kung University Affiliated Senior High School, he worked part-time and washed dishes at a buffet to help with family finances. After being an apprentice at a Sichuan restaurant, Zhang, due to his aversion to killing and his grandmother's advice, turned to vegetarian cuisine. After completing his military service, he continued to engage in the restaurant industry, and due to his passion for dining, he started from washing dishes, passing the Chinese cooking Level C and Level B certification exams, and later ventured into entrepreneurship as a boss. He is well-versed in all processes related to restaurants, and because he puts in more effort than average operators, Changchun Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant has developed a unique "Lohas" style among vegetarian restaurants.
