A-Luo-Ha Braised Dishes, originating from Yancheng, was established in 1949 and has a history of nearly 60 years. It is said that it started as a street vendor using a handcart. To date, there are three locations in Kaohsiung, making it a well-known old shop. A-Luo-Ha offers a wide variety of braised dishes, with over 30 types available. The secret to its deliciousness lies in the slow simmering with various Chinese herbal ingredients, resulting in a rich and aromatic braising sauce that is addictive. One of the favorites among many is the braised duck gizzard and intestine, affectionately known as "chewing gum" due to its chewy texture, closely resembling that of gum.
