One Tea Workshop Introduction
The making of a good local tea and the heartfelt intention behind it originate from the dedication of Alishan tea farmers. Yi Cha Workshop practices natural farming methods, embracing the original essence of simple tea leaves without extravagance or exaggeration. Upholding the local spirit of respecting nature, loving the land, and making great tea, the aim is to convey the happiness of enjoying a cup of tea. Director Lin Yingjiao, though inheriting the family business, started from scratch to understand the path of fine Taiwanese tea. Each step of the journey was challenging yet solid. Beginning with her own tea plantation, she learned everything from planting tea, picking tea, processing tea, roasting tea, to marketing tea and opening a brand store. She personally ensures the strictest quality control of the tea leaves, determined to let customers taste the genuine and authentic Taiwanese tea! Throughout this journey, there are no secrets, just persistence and more persistence. Reflecting on this entrepreneurial journey, Lin Yingjiao states that the hardest part was grasping the profound knowledge of "managing a tea garden"! Especially in the early days of the business, during the tea picking season, facing labor shortages would always cause her to feel anxious. Looking back on those difficult days, she can now smile and say: it was worth it! This gives her the courage to boldly tell consumers, "The tea you are drinking is grown by us." It expresses a heartfelt commitment to consumers and local good tea, paving the way for the Yi Cha brand. The straightforward packaging avoids excessive glamour, allowing consumers to focus on the essence of the tea itself and return to the original intention of drinking healthily without burden. The star of the store is a tea named "Peach Joy Black Tea," a play on words for "cute," remodeled from the packaging of early tea sellers. It connects to an ancient map of "Peach City" and is made from specially selected Alishan Qing Xin Oolong tea leaves grown at 23.5 degrees north latitude, resulting in a mellow and unassuming flavor with rich rhythmic variations, much like the genuine character of the people from Chiayi. Through innovative tea ideas, the goal is to invite young people into the world of Taiwanese tea, carrying on the mission of transcending generations through a genuine cup of Taiwanese good tea, savoring its unique flavors.
