One Tea Workshop Introduction
The process of making a cup of local good tea and the heartfelt intention behind a sip of good tea stems from the perseverance of Alishan tea farmers. Yi Cha Workshop adopts organic farming methods, presenting the tea leaves in their natural state without luxury or exaggeration. Upholding the local spirit of reverence for heaven and love for the earth to make good tea, the aim is to convey the happiness of enjoying a cup of tea. Although Director Lin Ying-Jiao inherited the family business, she started from scratch, understanding the journey of great Taiwanese tea, and every step was filled with hardships yet grounded. Starting from her own tea garden, she learned about planting, picking, processing, roasting tea, marketing, and opening a brand tea shop, taking on the strictest quality control of the tea leaves. She is determined to let customers taste truly authentic Taiwanese tea! There is no secret to this journey, only persistence and more persistence. Reflecting on this entrepreneurial journey, Lin Ying-Jiao stated that the most challenging part was mastering the profound knowledge of "managing the tea garden"! Especially in the early stages of entrepreneurship, every time the tea-picking season arrived, she often faced a shortage of labor and would feel particularly anxious. Looking back at those tough days now, she can smile and say: it was worth it! Because of this, she proudly tells consumers, "The tea you drink, we grow ourselves," which expresses a commitment to consumers and the local good tea. This has allowed Yi Cha brand to emerge, with simple and unpretentious packaging that avoids extravagance, enabling consumers to focus on the essence of the tea itself, returning to the initial intention of healthy and burden-free tea drinking. The star of the shop is named Tao Xi Red Tea, which sounds like "to be liked," improved from the tea packaging of early tea merchants. Its appearance connects to ancient maps of "Peach City" and is made from the north latitude 23.5-degree Qingxin Oolong variety selected from Alishan. The tea character is gentle and unassuming, yet its rhythmic variations are rich, akin to the genuine disposition of Chiayi people. Through new perspectives in tea drinking, the goal is to encourage young people to step into the world of Taiwanese tea, with an unwavering mission to convey the flavors of authentic Taiwanese tea through a cup.
