One Tea Workshop Introduction
The making of a good local tea and the heartfelt intention behind it come from the persistence of the Alishan tea farmers. Yi Cha Gong Fang adopts natural farming methods, emphasizing the genuine character of the tea leaves—nothing extravagant or exaggerated. With a spirit of respecting nature, loving the earth, and making good tea, their goal is to convey the happiness of enjoying a cup of tea. Director Lin Ying-jiao started from scratch while inheriting the family business, understanding the path of Taiwan's fine tea; every step was challenging but grounded. From their own tea garden, they learned to cultivate, pick, produce, roast tea, market their leaves, and open a branded tea store, personally overseeing the strictest quality controls. They are determined to let customers taste the authentic flavors of genuine Taiwanese tea! There’s no secret to this journey, except for perseverance. When it comes to this entrepreneurial process, Lin Ying-jiao noted that the hardest part was mastering the profound knowledge of "managing the tea garden"! Especially during the early entrepreneurial stage, when the tea-picking season hit and labor shortages frequently arose, she often felt panic. Reflecting on that difficult period now, she can smile and say: it was worth it! Thus, they boldly tell consumers, "The tea you drink, we grow ourselves." This is a commitment to consumers and local good tea, which has allowed them to establish the Yi Cha brand. Their simple and unadorned packaging helps consumers focus on the essence of the tea itself, returning to the initial intention of drinking tea healthily and without burden. The star product in the store is named "Peach Delight Black Tea," which sounds like "to please" in Mandarin. It is an improvement on the tea packaging used by early tea vendors, visually linked to ancient maps of "Peach City." It is made from the high-quality Qingxin Oolong grown at 23.5 degrees north latitude in Alishan. The tea flavor is mild and unpretentious, yet its rhythmic variations are rich, much like the authenticity of Chiayi people. With a fresh perspective on tea drinking, they aim to invite young people into the world of Taiwanese tea, an enduring mission to convey the unique taste through a cup of genuine Taiwanese good tea.
