Xing Ming Jin Restaurant was formerly known as Xing Ming Jin Fish Ball Shop. It is located in the East Market of Chiayi City and has a rich history of 50 years, serving freshly made fish balls and prepared foods. The customers of Xing Ming Jin include not only fresh food supermarkets but also many hot pot restaurants and snack shops in the surrounding counties and cities of Chiayi. In 2002, at the suggestion of customers and in response to the trends of the times, the owner transformed the business on Ren'ai Road into a dining establishment that combines traditional snacks with modern light meals. It not only preserves traditional flavors such as fish balls and fried burdock but also allows customers to enjoy different types of dishes like baked and hot pot. With its local features and new culinary elements, Xing Ming Jin was selected by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Department of Commerce as one of the famous stalls and specialties of Chiayi City in 2004. In 2007, it was also chosen as a selected store by the Zhuluo Arts Community and a featured restaurant for the International Band Festival. In recent years, it has received honors such as being one of Chiayi City's top ten特色小吃 (featured snacks), one of Taiwan's top 100 food snacks, and certification from the national GSP service.
