BAR SKITZ Introduction
The smoke swirls in the cup. At the foot of Alishan, SKIT is a "transitional" music experience designed to relax the ears. It's somewhat like a sorbet served before the main course in a Western meal, offering a moving transition. The owner, Xiao Qi, believes that a bar is a SKIT—a place to unwind after a busy day, starting with a cocktail to settle the chaotic thoughts before heading home to rest. It serves as a gentle transition between life's scenes, with the bartender acting like a ferryman, swaying and accompanying patrons to shore in rhythm. Bar Skitz is located in a secluded corner of Central Square, not far from the Cultural Road business district. As tourism in Chiayi surges and more young people return home, the nightlife becomes increasingly vibrant. These developments serve as inspiration for Xiao Qi's cocktail creations: specifically designed for night owls, the "Shang" blends matured brandy with tea and coffee elements, providing a rich and lingering throat feel, akin to the mountains that guard the city. The "Mountain Mist" features gin as the base, paired with Alishan Oriental Beauty tea, and presented with dried pine needles and oak smoke before serving, mimicking the swirling fog of the mountains, complete with a sense of ritual.
