BAR SKITZ Introduction
The smoke swirls in the cup. SKIT, located at the foot of Alishan, is music designed to relax the senses, serving as a transition much like a sorbet before the main course in Western cuisine. The owner, Xiao Qi, believes that a bar represents SKIT—a place to unwind after a busy day, sipping a cocktail to settle the chaotic thoughts before heading home for a rest. It's a gentle transition between the scenes of daily life, where the bartender acts as a ferryman, swaying back and forth, accompanying patrons to the shore in rhythmic resonance. Bar Skitz is tucked away in a quiet corner of Central Square, not far from the Cultural Road shopping district. As the tourism wave in Chiayi rises, and more young people return home, the nightlife becomes increasingly vibrant. All of these inspire Xiao Qi's cocktail creations: specially crafted for night owls, "Shang" combines mature brandy with elements of tea and coffee, providing a rich and lingering finish, resembling the mountains guarding the city. "Mountain Mist," on the other hand, is based on gin and paired with Alishan Oriental Beauty tea, presented with dried pine needles and oak smoke, mimicking the mist hovering over the mountains, full of ritualistic ambiance.
