BAR SKITZ Introduction

The smoke swirls in the cup. Under the foot of Alishan, SKIT is a "transitional" music space designed to relax the ears. It's somewhat akin to a sorbet before a main course in Western dining—a moving transition. The owner, Xiao Qi, believes that a bar is like SKIT; after a busy day, you enjoy a cocktail to settle the mind before heading home to rest. It's a gentle transition in life’s various scenarios, with the bartender acting as a ferryman, swaying and accompanying patrons to the shore in a resonant rhythm. Bar Skitz is nestled in a quiet corner of Central Square, not far from the Cultural Road shopping district. With the influx of tourists to Chiayi and more young people returning home, the nightlife is becoming increasingly vibrant. These experiences inspire Xiao Qi's cocktail creations: the "Shang," specially designed for night owls, combines mature brandy with tea and coffee elements, with a rich throat feel that unfolds like the mountains guarding the city. The "Mountain Mist" is based on gin and paired with Alishan Oriental Beauty tea, garnished with dried pine needles and oak smoke before serving, resembling the mist and clouds of the mountains and full of ritualistic significance.
