BAR SKITZ Introduction
In the mist of the cup, we find ourselves at the foot of Alishan, where the mildly intoxicating ambiance of SKIT serves as a "transitional" musical experience designed to relax the ears. It’s somewhat akin to a sorbet served before the main course in Western dining—an ongoing transformation. The owner, Xiao Qi, believes that a bar embodies SKIT, providing a space to unwind after a busy day with a cocktail, allowing one to settle their thoughts before heading home to rest. It's like a gentle transition in everyday life, with the bartender acting as a ferryman, swaying in rhythm and accompanying patrons to solid ground. Bar Skitz is located in a quiet corner of Central Square, not far from the Cultural Road shopping area. As tourism in Chiayi flourishes and more young people return home, nightlife has become increasingly vibrant. These elements inspire Xiao Qi's cocktail creations: such as "Shang," designed specifically for night owls, which combines matured brandy with tea and coffee elements, offering a rich and smooth finish, like the mountain ranges guarding the city. On the other hand, "Mountain Mist" is based on gin paired with Alishan Oriental Beauty tea, presented with dried pine needles and oak smoke before serving, evoking the misty scenery of the mountains and filled with a sense of ceremony.
