Jiamu House Introduction
During the restoration process, Jiabuju adhered to the philosophy of preservation in repairing every aspect. When facing rotting wooden structures, we not only replaced them with similar types of wood but also utilized traditional mortise and tenon techniques to repair each rotten beam and column. Additionally, we reinforced the stability of some structures that were already loosened but still usable, enhancing both the beauty of traditional wooden houses and their safety. The goal is to renovate local特色 (characteristic) architecture and integrate creative workers, artists, and collectors from Chiayi, providing a platform for showcasing creations and collectibles. This allows the public to interact directly with creators through the exhibition platform, and also enables the offering of related educational courses, promoting Chiayi's local cultural and creative industries through a dedicated information platform.
