Jiamu House Introduction
During the renovation process, Chiamu Residence adheres to the philosophy of restoration in every detail. In dealing with the decayed wooden structure, we not only replaced it with similar types of wood but also repaired each rotten beam and column using traditional mortise and tenon techniques. For some structures that were originally loose but still usable, we reinforced their stability. In addition to the beauty of craftsmanship inherent in wooden houses, safety is also ensured. The goal is to renovate local characteristic buildings and integrate Chiayi's cultural and creative workers, artists, and collectors, providing a platform for displaying creations and collectibles. This allows the public to interact directly with creators through the recognition of the display platform, and relevant teaching courses can be offered to promote Chiayi's local cultural and creative industries via a dedicated information platform.
