Jiamu Residence Introduction
During the renovation process, Jiamu Residence adheres to the principle of restoration at every stage. In addressing the rotting wooden structure, we not only replaced the damaged parts with similar types of wood but also employed traditional mortise and tenon techniques to repair each decayed beam and pillar. We reinforced the stability of certain structures that were originally loose yet still usable, enhancing both the beauty of the wooden craftsmanship and its safety. The goal is to renovate local特色 buildings and integrate Chiayi's creative workers, artists, and collectors, providing a platform for showcasing creations and collectibles. This allows the public to interact directly with creators through the exhibition platform, and we also aim to offer related workshops and promote Chiayi's local cultural and creative industries through a dedicated information platform.
