Jiamu Residence Introduction
During the renovation process, Jia Mu Ju adheres to the philosophy of restoration in every aspect of repair. In the face of decayed wooden structures, we not only replace them with similar types of wood but also use traditional mortise and tenon joinery to repair each rotting beam and column. Moreover, we have reinforced the stability of some previously loose but still usable structures, showcasing the craftsmanship of wooden houses while ensuring safety. The goal is to renovate local characteristic buildings and integrate Chiayi’s cultural creative workers, artists, and collectors, providing a platform for the display of creations and collectibles. This allows the public to interact directly with creators through the recognition of the display platform, and we can also offer related educational courses and promote Chiayi's local cultural creative industry through a dedicated information platform.
