Jamujy Introduction
During the renovation process, Chiamu Residence adheres to the principle of restoration in repairing every component. In facing the decayed wooden structure, we not only replaced it with similar types of wood but also employed traditional jointing techniques to repair each decayed beam and column. Additionally, we reinforced the stability of certain structures that were originally loose but still usable, which not only preserved the craftsmanship beauty inherent in wooden houses but also ensured safety. The goal is to renovate local特色 architecture and subsequently integrate Chiayi’s cultural and creative workers, artists, and collectors to provide a platform for showcasing creations and collectibles. This allows direct interaction between the public and creators. Through this exhibition platform, relevant educational courses can also be offered, promoting Chiayi’s local cultural and creative industry through a dedicated information platform.
