Jia Mu Ju Introduction
During the renovation process, Jiamu Residence adheres to the philosophy of restoration in every aspect of repair. When facing decayed wooden structures, we not only replace them with similar types of wood but also utilize traditional mortise and tenon joinery to repair each rotting beam and column. Additionally, we reinforced the stability of some structures that were already loose but still usable. This approach not only showcases the craftsmanship of wooden houses but also enhances safety. The goal is to renovate locally renowned buildings, subsequently integrating Chiayi's cultural and creative workers, artists, and collectors, providing a platform for the exhibition of creations and collectibles. This allows the public and creators to interact directly through the exhibition platform, and relevant educational courses can be offered, further promoting Chiayi's local cultural and creative industry through a dedicated information platform.
